Keep in mind that cases created before October 9, 2023 may not show up in the online system. Certified copies cost more. Expect to pay a $5.00 certification fee plus the per-page copy charge. Certified copies carry an official seal and can be used as legal proof in other courts or official matters.

There is no charge to inspect records at the courthouse. Self-service terminals are free to use. Online searches through the eCourts portal are also free.

Civil Case Filing Process in Charlotte
