Guilford County has two clerk of court locations. The main office is at 201 S. Eugene St., Greensboro, NC 27401. Call (336) 412-7300 for the Greensboro location. The High Point office is at 505 E. Green Dr., High Point, NC 27260. Call (336) 822-6700 for the High Point location.

Both offices handle civil court records. You can visit either location for in-person searches and copy requests. Public access terminals are available at both sites.

Public Access to Guilford County Civil Court Records

Civil court records in Guilford County are public under North Carolina law. N.C.G.S. 132-6 gives anyone the right to inspect public records during business hours. You can visit the Greensboro or High Point clerk's office and view any non-restricted civil case file for free.

Juvenile records, sealed cases, adoption files, and mental health proceedings are restricted. All other civil court records are open for review by any member of the public.

Copy Fees and Costs

In-person inspection of civil court records is free at both Guilford County courthouse locations. Paper copies cost $0.25 per page. Certified copies have an additional $2.00 certification fee.

The eCourts portal is free for viewing case docket information. To get copies of actual documents from the file, you need to contact the clerk's office.

Pay by check or money order payable to the Clerk of Superior Court. The NC Public Records Law caps fees at the actual cost of reproduction.

Greensboro, High Point, and Guilford County
